Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 7, 2026.

This policy describes how Papra Mobile handles information when you connect it to a Papra instance.

Who controls your data?

Papra Mobile is a client application. Documents and account data remain managed by the Papra instance you configure. That instance’s administrator may have a separate privacy policy.

Data handled by the app

The app handles the instance URL, API key, organizations, tags, documents, extracted text, notes, custom properties and activity needed to display and manage your Papra data. Requests are sent to the Papra instance URL you enter.

Storage on your device

The connection details and API key are stored in the operating system’s secure storage. Limited organization, tag and recent-document metadata may be cached locally. You can remove this metadata from Settings. Downloaded documents are saved only when you explicitly choose to download them; viewer files are temporary.

Sharing and third parties

Requests containing your Papra data are sent to the Papra instance you configure. When you choose to share or open a document, your operating system or the selected app may receive the document or link. Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) is a third-party service used to display and measure advertising as described below.

Advertising and AdMob

Papra Mobile uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to display advertisements. Depending on your consent, applicable law and device settings, Google and its advertising partners may process device identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID and, where authorized, Apple’s IDFA, as well as IP address, device and app information, ad interactions, diagnostics and ad performance data. This information may be used to deliver, measure, prevent fraud and personalize advertising.

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app requests consent where required for personalized advertising and access to device identifiers or local storage. You can refuse or withdraw consent through the available privacy options. Non-personalized or limited ads may then be shown. On iOS, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission controls access to the IDFA.

For more information, see Google’s Privacy Policy .

Security

Protect your API key and use HTTPS for production instances. No app or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
