Your privacy is our absolute priority. Kuma Status is designed with a local-first architecture to ensure your connection credentials and status details remain secure, confidential, and directly under your control.
1. Direct Connections (No Proxies)
The app connects directly from your device to your configured self-hosted Uptime Kuma servers. We do not operate intermediate servers or proxies. Your login details, status details, and server endpoints are never routed through our systems.
2. Secured Local Storage
All status page configurations, connection intervals, notifications preferences, and historical status logs are stored directly on your phone using high-performance local database caches (Hive and SharedPreferences). No cloud synchronization or off-device backups are maintained.
3. Google AdMob & Advertisements
For free tier users, Kuma Status utilizes Google AdMob to deliver advertisements. Google AdMob may collect and process device identifiers, approximate location (IP address), advertising IDs (such as iOS IDFA or Android GAID), and cookies to show and personalize ads.
Premium users have all Google AdMob packages and initialization disabled, ensuring that no tracking cookies or advertising request events are generated.
4. Zero Telemetry & Tracking
We believe in zero-tracking. We do not integrate third-party usage trackers, telemetry platforms, or crash reporters. If the app encounters an issue, logs are kept strictly locally on your device.
5. Complete User Control
You can completely delete all configurations, connection details, and caching databases at any time. Simply tap "Reset status pages" in the Settings tab. Reinstalling or deleting the application will also erase all local data permanently.
