Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Cloudreve Mobile handles information when you use the app. Cloudreve Mobile is designed to connect directly to Cloudreve instances operated by you or by a provider you choose.
Cloudreve Mobile does not provide or operate its own cloud storage service. The Cloudreve server you connect to is responsible for storing and processing your files, account information, and shared links.
2. Information processed by the app
To provide its features, Cloudreve Mobile may process the following information from the Cloudreve instance you connect to:
- Your Cloudreve server address and connection settings;
- Account session information required to keep you signed in;
- File and folder names, metadata, previews, sizes, and modification dates;
- Files you choose to upload, download, view, move, delete, or share;
- Shared links and their settings, such as passwords or expiration dates;
- Files or previews you choose to make available offline on your device.
3. How information is used
Information is processed only to provide the app’s requested features, including browsing files, searching folders, uploading content, downloading files, creating shared links, displaying previews, and managing offline access.
Cloudreve Mobile communicates directly with the Cloudreve instance selected by you. The server administrator may have separate privacy practices, security settings, logs, and retention policies that are outside the control of Cloudreve Mobile.
4. Local data on your device
Cloudreve Mobile may store limited information locally on your device so that the app can function properly. This may include session information, app preferences, cached file metadata, thumbnails, and files you explicitly choose to keep offline.
You can remove offline files, sign out of an account, remove a connected server, or clear the app’s storage through your device settings.
5. Data sharing
Cloudreve Mobile does not sell your personal information. The app does not operate a separate cloud platform or transfer your files to servers managed by the app developer.
Your information is sent to the Cloudreve instance you choose because this is necessary for the app to work. When you create a shared link, access to that link is controlled by the settings of your Cloudreve instance.
6. Permissions
The app may request device permissions only when needed for features you choose to use. For example, file and media access may be required to upload or download files, while notifications may be used to inform you about transfers or other requested activity.
You can manage or revoke permissions at any time from your Android device settings.
7. Security
The security of your files depends primarily on the Cloudreve instance you connect to. You should use a secure HTTPS connection, strong account credentials, and appropriate access controls on your server.
While Cloudreve Mobile uses normal device and operating system protections where available, no method of storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices
You remain in control of your connected Cloudreve instance. You can:
- Remove a Cloudreve instance from the app;
- Sign out of your account;
- Delete local offline files and cached app data;
- Revoke permissions through Android settings;
- Manage your files and shared links directly on your Cloudreve server.
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Cloudreve Mobile changes or when legal requirements evolve. The latest version will always be published on this page.
